Job Description


We seek an experienced Assistant Spa Manager to join our Ancient Cedars Spa Team. As a key member, you will:



  • Embody our mission and uphold Relais & Châteaux, Forbes, and AAA 4-Diamond Resort standards.
  • Lead by example and collaborate with the Ancient Cedars Spa Leadership Team.
  • Assist the Spa Manager in supervising team members, ensuring excellent guest satisfaction.
  • Create a positive learning atmosphere for team development.
  • Maintain the spa's cleanliness, physical condition, and equipment.
  • Provide exceptional guest service, addressing concerns and following up as needed.
  • Administer HR-related tasks, including scheduling, payroll, interviewing, hiring, performance management, and reviews.
  • Contribute to annual budgeting and monitor retail sales performance.
  • Cover reception duties and treatments as required.
  • Familiarize yourself with the Spa Manager's role and complete their duties in their absence.
  • Complete administrative tasks to ensure smooth spa operations.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Exceptional customer service skills and a willingness to exceed guest expectations.
  • Superior Human Resources, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, multitasking ability, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • A commitment to leading a world-class spa team.
  • Working knowledge of financial statements, budgeting, and cost management.
  • Proficiency in Spa Software, Maestro, Microsoft Word, Excel, and File Maker Pro.
  • The flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Previous experience as a Massage Practitioner (min. 1000 hours) and at least 2 years' management experience in a high-end luxury facility.
  • A commitment of at least 2 years to this position.
