About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Anejo Restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of our menu items.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and train a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation.
    • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items to enhance the dining experience.
  • Culinary Expertise
    • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
    • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Inventory and Supply Chain Management
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to ensure efficient inventory management.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control systems.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring that all menu items are prepared to the highest standards.
    • Assist in resolving customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Executive Chef Assistant.
    • Degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation and presentation.
    • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions

The Sous Chef will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with a high level of noise and activity. The position requires standing for extended periods and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
