About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and train a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation.
    • Develop and implement new menu items and cooking techniques to enhance the dining experience.
  • Culinary Expertise
    • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
    • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Inventory and Supply Chain Management
    • Requisition and manage food and kitchen supplies to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
    • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement inventory management systems.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring that all menu items are prepared to the highest standards.
    • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Executive Chef Assistant.
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Physically demanding with standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
