**Job Summary**

The Financial Collections Specialist will support the company in various tasks related to delinquent accounts, communicating with payers to negotiate payment arrangements and inform them of non-payment consequences.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and negotiate customer accounts to provide the best solutions and minimize losses;
  • Take incoming and outgoing customer calls, answering questions and documenting relevant information;
  • Use various communication channels to deal with overdue payments and accounts;
  • Locate customers using different tracking tools;
  • Determine the most appropriate repayment plan based on the customer's ability to pay;
  • Support preparation of legal documents;
  • Manage work inventory and prioritize files;
  • Listen actively and determine the action to be taken;
  • Protect the company's interests by ensuring compliance with established policies, standards, and procedures;
  • Meet productivity and quality standards;
  • Carry out other tasks assigned by the immediate superior or related to the position.

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • A combination of DES and knowledge of the financial world, including credit history, or any other relevant financing-related training;
  • 1-3 years' experience in a similar role, enabling rapid familiarization with collections; strong asset;
  • Ability to write communications and make calculations related to requests;
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of credit risks;
  • Ability to multi-task (phone calls, emails, audits);
  • Excellent priority management skills;
  • Recognized for initiative, resourcefulness, and diplomacy;
  • Positive attitude and ideas for improvement;
  • Ability to adapt quickly;
  • Sense of customer service;
  • Ability to establish trust with customers;
  • Good negotiation skills;

Our team offers a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, to ensure your financial stability and well-being. Please note that the salary may vary based on location and individual qualifications.
