Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Winter Patroller to join our team. As a Winter Patroller, you will be responsible for performing road maintenance activities on provincial highways, responding to emergency situations, and assisting in implementing an emergency plan. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation, maintaining and cleaning equipment, and conducting routine maintenance and minor repairs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform road maintenance activities on provincial highways
  • Respond to emergency situations such as spills and accidents during inclement weather
  • Assist in implementing an emergency plan
  • Maintain accurate documentation
  • Maintain and clean equipment
  • Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs

Requirements

  • G license and clean driving abstract
  • Experience in snow and ice control along with knowledge of OTM Book 7
  • Knowledge of highway maintenance
  • Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions
  • Ability to work assigned shifts, and extended hours (evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays) as winter events require
  • Ability to perform manual labor and lift up to 50 lbs and stand for periods of time

Preferred Qualifications

  • DZ license, and clean driving abstract
