Job Title: Maintenance and Reliability Engineer

TEEMA is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance and Reliability Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Criticality Review: Review and revise equipment criticalities in our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Root Cause Failure Analysis: Lead RCFA investigations to identify the root cause of electrical equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Predictive Maintenance: Refine our predictive and preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
  • Job Planning: Create detailed plans for complex jobs to ensure efficient execution.
  • FMEA Analysis: Conduct FMEAs to identify potential failure modes and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Reliability Improvement Projects: Lead small capital reliability improvement projects from start to finish.
  • QA/QC: Develop and implement QA/QC procedures for critical electrical work.
Requirements:
  • Professional Engineer (P-Eng) Designation: Hold a P-Eng designation or be actively working towards it.
  • Electrical Knowledge: Have in-depth knowledge of large motor, construction, and maintenance requirements, including AC and DC motors.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support for power and control issues, and develop work procedures, standards, and best practices.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Possess strong technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Canadian Electrical Code: Be familiar with the Canadian Electrical Code.
  • Team Leadership: Demonstrate ability to work as a leader in a team and collaborate with other disciplines to ensure continuity of operations.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent combination of demonstrated skill and work experience.
  • Safety Commitment: Demonstrate personal commitment to working safely and protecting the safety of others.
  • Experience: Have a minimum of 5 years' experience in heavy industrial maintenance.
  • Electrical Aptitude: Possess strong electrical aptitude.
  • PLC/DCS Operations: Have experience with PLC/DCS operations and logic.
  • Initiative and Urgency: Demonstrate ability and confidence to initiate actions with a sense of urgency, driving for high-quality, sustainable results.
  • Computerized Maintenance Management Systems: Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems, preferably SAP.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
