Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Snow Plow Operator to join our winter maintenance team. As a key member of our team, you will safely operate a combo unit, performing snow removal on local roads and highways as per the contract requirements.
You will be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation, including fuel reports, safety reports, and hours of service, as well as performing routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate a combo unit to perform snow removal on local roads and highways
- Maintain accurate documentation, including fuel reports, safety reports, and hours of service
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment
- Assist in providing traffic control at work zones and accident scenes
- Perform housekeeping duties to ensure the shop, common areas, and exterior of the yard are clean and safe
- BZ, DZ, or AZ license with a clean driver's abstract required
- Available to respond to call-ins within thirty minutes
- Ability to work assigned shifts, and extended hours (evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays) as winter events require
- Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions
- Ability to perform manual labor and lift up to 50 lbs and stand for periods of time
- Ability to drive manual transmission
- Previous experience in winter-works operations
- Mechanical knowledge, ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment as required
- Good understanding of MTO standards and CDMC Contract Performance Requirements
