Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Snow Plow Operator to join our winter maintenance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for safely operating a combo unit to perform snow removal on local roads and highways.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a combo unit to clear snow and ice from roads and highways
- Maintain accurate documentation, including fuel reports, safety reports, and hours of service
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment
- Assist in providing traffic control at work zones and accident scenes
- Perform housekeeping duties to ensure the shop, common areas, and exterior of the yard are clean and safe
Requirements
- BZ, DZ, or AZ license with a clean driver's abstract
- Ability to work assigned shifts, including evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays
- Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions
- Ability to perform manual labor and lift up to 50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to drive a manual transmission
- Previous experience in winter-works operations
- Mechanical knowledge and ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs
