Job Description

Location: University of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Outreach Program Manager to join our team at the University of Regina. This is a full-time position reporting to the Faculty Administrator.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute youth programming on campus and in communities across Saskatchewan;
  • Manage outreach events and support existing programs;
  • Work to build community partnerships with various organizations to promote programming;
  • Host recruitment events, and support existing youth programs;
  • Recruit mentors to participate in various recruitment programs for youth, undergraduate, and graduate students;
  • Be responsible for outreach budget management, fundraising and grant application preparation;
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Education, Engineering, Science or other related subjects;
  • A minimum of 2 years related experience either at the University and/or in youth related program development;
Preferred Skills:
  • Scientific or engineering background to develop programming and activities for youth – ensure safety and age-appropriateness of activities;
  • Judgement and decisiveness to handle the wide range of planning, logistical, human resources and supervisory matters;
  • Direct experience working in complex databases such as Microsoft Excel, Banner and FAST, as well as social media and website development; Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs;
  • Be creative, resourceful, innovative, engaging and exhibit the ability to exercise leadership and function in a team-oriented environment;
  • Experience working with communities, including but not limited to: socio-economic status, race, gender, religion, immigration status, physical location, education etc.; and,
  • Strong foundation in inclusion and anti-racism.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is between $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
