Program Officer - Federal Program Management

As a key member of the Government of Saskatchewan's team, the successful candidate will lead the management of federal programs for the Ministry of Highways, Network Planning and Investment Branch. Key responsibilities include:
  • Identifying and managing provincial responsibilities under federal infrastructure agreements;
  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure provincial reporting requirements are met;
  • Supporting project identification, prioritization, and approval for federal funding requests;
  • Leading the submission of progress reports and project completion reports;
  • Assisting in negotiation of federal funding agreements and amendments;
  • Researching and analyzing complex infrastructure issues;

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are required to develop and maintain good working relationships with federal and provincial stakeholders. The successful candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on service excellence and innovation. A degree in public policy, economics, public or business administration, or a related discipline, coupled with several years of relevant work experience, is preferred.
