Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ethnic Food Preparation Specialist to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as supervising kitchen staff and helpers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Supervision and Training: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and training on preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Ensure kitchen and work areas are clean and safe, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, providing excellent customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment, with relocation costs covered by the employer.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with physically demanding tasks, and standing for extended periods.

  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, with ability to work accurately and efficiently.
  • Team Player: Strong team player, with ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Client Focus: Excellent customer service skills, with ability to provide a high level of service to customers.
Work Conditions

  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
