About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at Mandi Guys Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, following established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train and mentor junior staff members in food preparation, cooking, and handling techniques.
  • Inventory Management: Order and manage inventory of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste.
  • Quality Control: Inspect and taste food products to ensure quality and presentation standards are met.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
  • Transportation: Own transportation or public transportation available.

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of physical activity and attention to detail. The ability to work in a team environment and maintain a high level of reliability and dependability is essential.
