- Conduct regular meetings to discuss quality issues, provide feedback, and drive continuous improvement.
- Oversee the inspection and testing of tools, dies, molds, and other precision components to ensure they meet design specifications and tolerances.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and any non-conformances, ensuring traceability and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality policies specific to the tooling industry.
- Prepare quality reports for management, highlighting areas of concern and recommending corrective actions.
- Identify root causes of quality issues related to tooling and collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of tooling products, reduce scrap rates, and improve production efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and technologies that can improve tooling quality.
- Quickly address and resolve quality issues, working closely with production and engineering teams to prevent recurrence.
- Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- Certifications such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Quality Auditor are advantageous.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality control, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role within the tooling industry.
