Emergency Department Registered Practical Nurse

North York General Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our Emergency Services team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide excellent patient and family-centered care in a supportive and culturally sensitive manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess, educate, prevent, maintain, and restore patient health in a fast-paced emergency department environment.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of care providers to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Think critically and prioritize patient care demands in a dynamic environment.
- Participate in ongoing learning and professional development to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Registered Practical Nursing diploma from a recognized Community College.
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Minimum 2 years of acute medical/surgical nursing experience.
- Experience working in an emergency department and/or ambulatory urgent care space is an asset.
- IV initiation, phlebotomy, and electrocardiogram interpretation skills are preferred.
- Competent in cardiac monitoring is an asset.
- Bilingualism in French/English is an asset.
