North York General Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our dynamic team in the Emergency Department. As an RPN in Emergency Services, you will play a vital role in providing excellent patient care and contributing to the hospital's academic mandate.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency environment
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to assess, educate, and prevent patient health issues
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers
- Participate in ongoing learning and professional development to enhance knowledge and skills
- Contribute to the hospital's academic mandate by advancing care through teaching and learning
- Registered Practical Nursing diploma from a recognized Community College
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Minimum 2 years of acute medical/surgical nursing experience
- Experience working in an emergency department and/or ambulatory urgent care space (preferred)
- IV initiation, phlebotomy, and electrocardiogram interpretation skills (preferred)
- Competent in cardiac monitoring (preferred)
- Bilingualism in French/English an asset
