Job Title: Contract Enhanced Client Services Supervisor

Homes First Society is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contract Enhanced Client Services Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing support services to individuals who are homeless or under-housed.

Job Summary:

The Contract Enhanced Client Services Supervisor will be responsible for supervising a team of unionized staff, providing case management expertise, and leading partnership development and system navigation. You will also be responsible for supervision and caseload management, service resolution, quality assurance, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a team of unionized staff and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Provide case management expertise and support to Intensive Case Management Workers team.
  • Lead partnership development and system navigation, including liaison with health and other service systems.
  • Supervise and manage caseloads, including coordinating regular case conferencing.
  • Resolve service issues and ensure quality assurance and reporting.
  • Develop and implement programs to optimize performance and practices.
  • Manage employee performance and perform administrative duties such as vacation planning, timekeeping, and performance reviews.
  • Implement and maintain a system for collecting statistics for evaluations and funding proposals.
  • Manage the city-operated database and Homes First case management system.
  • Ensure effective communication with other departments and external agencies.
  • Prioritize and assign shift responsibilities and duties to team members.
  • Oversee staff in developing individualized case plans and help participants achieve their goals.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed to agency standards.
  • Able to work occasional weekends and/or evenings, and carry a 24-hour emergency on-call phone.
  • Working in an environment where there may be smoke is required.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years' experience working with people who are homeless, under-housed, and dealing with addictions and mental illness.
  • At least 1 year's experience supervising unionized staff.
  • Demonstrated experience in assessment, advocacy, referral, and case management, with the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Supervisory experience in a unionized setting is an asset.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, standards, and guidelines, including the Ontario Landlord and Tenant Act and rental legislation in Ontario.
  • Knowledge of resources and services available in the community.
  • Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, and organization skills.
  • Certificates in First Aid, CPR, Crisis Prevention, and Intervention are an asset.
  • Certificate of Completion of Homelessness Learning Hub's Harm Reduction for the Homeless Sector is considered an asset.

Working in an environment where there may be smoke is required.
