Job Summary

The Associate Director will be responsible for overseeing data and model governance, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards. This role will also involve developing and managing control activities, assessing process completeness, and assisting with data and model monitoring activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of data and model governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with relevant Bank standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in design sessions to provide input, gather, and document requirements.
  • Contribute to Enterprise Model Risk Management (EMRM) submissions, including documentation.
  • Lead governance-related activities, including issue management and preparation of issue memo closures.
  • Develop control frameworks, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Design and implement controls and quality assurance tools.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of model monitoring reports.
Requirements
  • Degree in a quantitative field of study (e.g., Statistics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science).
  • Expertise in programming and querying languages (e.g., SQL, Python).
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Data Management, Model Governance, and Risk concepts.
  • Prior working experience with model risk management frameworks, quality assurance frameworks, risk mitigation, and issue remediation.
  • Strong knowledge of data quality controls and procedures documentation.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to adapt to a constantly evolving and fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to quality and accuracy with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strategic thinking skills with proven ability to drive results in a cross-functional environment.
  • Strong organizational awareness, demonstrated ability to anticipate risks and issues and escalate when required.
  • Proven collaboration, impact, influence, and change management capabilities across business, IT, and functions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Environmental and Social (E&S) data landscape: common challenges and available solutions.
  • Risk management experience, particularly in relation to E&S.
