Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Ardene. As a key member of our store management team, you will play a critical role in driving sales, improving employee performance, and ensuring efficient store operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Profit Management
    • Assist in implementing strategies to achieve store sales and profit budgets.
    • Oversee all store operations, including opening and closing procedures, store cleanliness, re-stocking, and merchandising.
  • Customer Service and Team Supervision
    • Provide excellent customer service and coach team members to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
    • Supervise and support the team to ensure they are meeting sales and customer service targets.
  • Store Operations and Administration
    • Process purchases at the register and ensure accurate handling of cash and credit transactions.
    • Comply with all head office requests regarding store operations and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Leadership and Development
    • Support the Store Manager in ensuring company standards are followed and employee manual policies are adhered to.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve employee performance and engagement.
Requirements
  • Experience and Qualifications
    • Minimum 1-year retail experience in a leadership role.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent selling and customer service abilities.
    • Strong time management, priority-setting, and communication skills.
    • Ability to delegate tasks and take ownership.
  • Physical and Availability Requirements
    • Ability to stand for extended periods and climb a ladder.
    • Move, lift, and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store (weighing up to 30 pounds).
    • Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends.
