The Opportunity


As a Child Care Cook with our Corporation, you will work at one of our municipal child care centers, promoting a balance of stimulation and relaxation to foster children's learning, development, health, and well-being.



Job Responsibilities


You will be responsible for planning and preparing meals and snacks in accordance with the Canada Food Guide, ensuring food supplies are maintained within budget. You will also perform housekeeping and laundry duties, assist with the care of children, and ensure health and safety procedures are maintained.



Requirements


To succeed in this role, you must have a secondary school graduation or equivalent combination of education and experience. You must also have successful completion of a safe handling training course (Level 1) and experience cooking and planning menus for large groups. Knowledge of the Canada Food Guide as it relates to the Child Care and Early Years Act is essential.
