Responsibilities
The Executive Director will be responsible for leading staff development, fostering a positive workplace culture, and aligning strategic initiatives with the Chamber's vision. They will oversee daily operations, including marketing, events, HR, and finance. The role involves community engagement, building relationships, advocating for member needs, managing grant writing, and serving as a spokesperson, fundraiser, and relationship builder for the Chamber.
Requirements
- At least five years of leadership and management experience, preferably in a non-profit.
- Experience with small businesses, grant writing, and securing funding is valued.
- Experience working with a Board of Directors or in a similar role.
- A bachelor's degree or diploma in business, non-profit management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with government, Indigenous communities, and regulatory bodies is an asset.
- Knowledge of the Cranbrook business environment and community is an asset.
