Role Overview:
As a Pension Administration Specialist, you will be part of a team that excels in managing Defined Benefits (DB) pension plans. Your expertise will contribute to the delivery of exceptional service tailored to the unique requirements of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will lead the client service delivery, which includes:

  • Preparation of annual pension statements and updates on legislative changes.
  • Reviewing intricate calculations, including marriage breakdowns and pension loss assessments.
  • Conducting technical evaluations of changes in plan provisions.
  • Collaborating with actuaries on membership data for valuations.
  • Addressing pension administration challenges in partnership with clients.
  • Ensuring compliance with quality control and service standards.
  • Participating in or managing special projects as needed.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this position, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in DB Pension Administration.
  • A degree in a relevant field, particularly Mathematics.
  • Knowledge of provincial pension and tax regulations.
  • Strong communication, project management, and presentation skills.
  • Proven leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Proficiency in office applications, especially MS Word, Excel, and Access.
  • ASA designation and/or a background in DB pension actuarial science.
  • Completion of courses in Pension Administration.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
  • Experience with pension administration software, particularly Ariel.
