We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director, Engineering Operations to lead our Thunder Bay office. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic plan to drive business growth and success in the Power, mining, and metals sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a business plan to drive growth and success in the Thunder Bay office.
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary engineering team to deliver high-quality services to clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to drive business development and growth.
- Manage the financial and operational aspects of the Thunder Bay office, including budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent in the engineering field.
- Collaborate with other offices, teams, and departments to achieve business objectives and drive innovation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members to achieve business objectives and drive success.
- University degree in engineering or a related field.
- 15 years of relevant experience in a consulting engineering firm, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership or management role.
- Experience with P&L responsibilities and financial management.
- Knowledge of the mining and metals sector or the power sector.
- Significant network of contacts in the power and/or mining and metals sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of multidisciplinary engineering and project management.
- Excellent leadership, management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
