Overview

The Havens Alliance Group is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Project Leader to lead the delivery of healthcare infrastructure projects. As a key member of our Executive & Technology Talent Solutions team, you will be responsible for planning and executing complex projects that drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned project leader with a strong background in construction operations or project management, preferably with experience in healthcare or similar scale public infrastructure projects. You will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality results on time, within budget, and with a focus on quality. Your excellent leadership skills and ability to manage diverse teams will enable you to create alignment across various business units and drive successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Planning and Execution: Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, and schedule, to ensure project objectives are met efficiently.
  2. Team Leadership: Supervise assigned project staff and oversee the work of external resources to deliver projects effectively and within budget.
  3. Risk Management: Identify potential risk areas and recommend mitigation strategies to program management to minimize project risks.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate regularly with sponsors and stakeholders to maintain positive working relationships and ensure project goals are aligned with organizational objectives.
  5. Procurement and Contract Management: Manage procurement processes and contract negotiations to secure the best possible outcomes for the organization.
  6. Budgeting and Forecasting: Establish and evaluate staff performance targets, monitor revenues and expenditures, and accurately forecast budget requirements for the fiscal year.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A post-secondary degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Ten (10) plus years of progressive experience in a leadership role in construction operations or project management.
  • A strong understanding of relevant legal matters, legislation, regulations, standards, and codes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Location: Sydney, NS.
