Job Summary

As a Host with Great Canadian Entertainment, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences at Gordon Ramsay Burger. Under the direct supervision of the Manager or Supervisor, you will be responsible for greeting and seating guests with the utmost regard to rules, regulations, and operational guidelines while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests by name and provide personalized service
  • Manage the Open Table reservation platform to ensure seamless guest experiences
  • Seat guests in their preferred area and distribute menus, highlighting daily or weekly specials
  • Explain the preparation of various menu items and beverages
  • Assist with cleaning tables and counters, removing dishes, and restocking as needed
  • Perform opening and closing duties as required
  • Maintain accurate records, wait lists, and reservations
  • Ensure table availability through effective communication with bussing and serving staff
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with operational departments
  • Develop strong working relationships with guests, ownership, and team members
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed

Requirements

  • Availability to work evenings and weekends
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in food and beverage service
  • Experience using Open Table platform is an asset
  • Serving it Right certification
  • Ability to obtain a Gaming License
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Work Environment

  • Regular casino, restaurant, or bar environment with non-traditional work hours
  • Standing and walking for extended periods
