Job Summary

This position is responsible for serving guests in the restaurant under the direct supervision of the Manager, Gordon Ramsay Burger. The server ensures adherence to all policies and procedures while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greets guests by name wherever possible
  • Escorts guests to a table when applicable; presents menus; informs guests of daily specials
  • Explains how various menu items or beverages are prepared
  • Takes the guest orders; makes recommendations
  • Serves the guests; checks to ensure satisfaction
  • Resolves guests' issues or asks management for assistance
  • Presents bill upon request; takes payment
  • Cleans tables; removes dishes; re-stocks where applicable
  • Delivers food to tables
  • Performs opening or closing duties as required
  • Covers other servers' sections when required
  • Exercises good judgment when serving alcoholic beverages
  • Liaises and communicates effectively with all operational departments
  • Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership, and team members
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations

Requirements

  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends
  • Minimum 1 year serving experience
  • Effective and service-oriented communication
  • POS experience
  • Serving it Right Certification
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License

Work Environment

  • Regular casino, restaurant, or bar environment, standing and walking for long periods of time and non-traditional work hours
