Physiotherapist - Palliative Care Specialist

Spectrum Health Care is seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our team as a Palliative Care Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapist to work with our interdisciplinary care team, providing holistic proactive, seamless care and support to patients, families, and caregivers. As a Palliative Care Specialist, you will conduct assessments, develop and deliver treatment plans focused on achieving the goals of care, including mobility and function, symptom management, and delivering education.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct physiotherapy assessments, consultations, and planned interventions for patients living with a life-limiting illness.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create personalized care plans based on the patient's unique needs and goals of care.
- Engage in skilled, compassionate communication with patients, families, and caregivers regarding mobility, function, and end-of-life care goals.
- Educate and mentor patients, family, and caregivers on strategies to maintain safe mobility and function in the home setting.
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
- Registered in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
- 3-5 years of experience working as a Physiotherapist preferred.
- Valid Ontario driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of an integrated health care team, with an emphasis on collaborative care planning.
The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000-$110,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a pension plan and paid time off.
