About the Job:

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking an experienced Truck Maintenance Technician to join our team in Moncton, NB. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet.

Salary and Benefits:

Job Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for

  1. Demonstrating proficiency in the repair and diagnosis of engines (gas and diesel), power trains, electrical systems, HVAC systems, steering systems, and electronics
  2. Performing mechanical and general appearance reconditioning of equipment for trade-ins and preparing new equipment for delivery
  3. Identifying and determining parts required for repair of disassembled units
  4. Performing all levels of preventive maintenance services
  5. Maintaining work area appearance and safety
  6. Road testing vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or ensure they are working properly

Requirements:

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have

  • 2+ years practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance
  • Be currently enrolled in an apprentice program
  • Maintain membership/registration with respective Government Agencies
  • Consider candidates with a 310S license or automotive background
  • Specialized training in the repair and replacement of vehicle components preferred
  • Proficiency in the use of shop tools required
  • Current driver's license class G or class 5 and ability to obtain class DZ within 6 months of being hired required
  • Basic computer skills preferred for data entry into maintenance systems
