This Dedicated Diesel Truck Technician/Mechanic II position plays a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles. Key responsibilities include:
Repair and DiagnosisWe require the successful candidate to demonstrate proficiency in the repair and diagnosis of various vehicle components, including:
- Engines (gas and diesel)
- Power train to include differentials, transmissions, clutches, drive shafts, PTO's and wheel ends
- Electrical systems including starters and alternators
- HVAC systems
- Steering systems
- Electronics to include ECM's, ECU's, sensors etc.
- Engine bolt-on items such as turbos, fan clutches, injectors, cooling system etc.
- Brake systems including ABS
- Suspension systems (spring and air)
The ideal candidate will also perform routine maintenance tasks, such as:
- Inspecting brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts
- Lubricating equipment and machinery
- Adjusting and replacing brakes, tightening bolts and screws

- Analyze complex issues and diagnose problems efficiently
- Communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and management
To succeed in this position, you should have:
- 2+ years of practical experience with tractor-trailer maintenance
- Current enrollment in an apprentice program
- Maintaining membership/registration with respective Government Agencies
- Valid driver's license class G or class 5 and ability to obtain class DZ within 6 months of hire
- Basic computer skills for data entry into maintenance systems
