Key Accountabilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Planner to join our team at The Toronto-Dominion Bank (Canada). As a Financial Planner, you will be responsible for identifying client life and financial goals, providing recommendations, and ongoing relationship/portfolio management.

Customer Focus
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their financial needs and goals.
  • Provide comprehensive financial planning advice and guidance to clients.
  • Identify opportunities to refer clients to other business lines and segments.
Shareholder Expectations
  • Exercise discretion in managing confidential information and escalate issues where appropriate.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in financial planning.
  • Protect the interests of the organization by identifying and managing risks.
Employee/Team
  • Participate as a member of the team to support a positive work environment and quality service.
  • Contribute to the success of the team by assisting others and providing training and coaching as needed.
  • Keep current on emerging trends and developments in the financial industry.
Breadth & Depth
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of financial products and services.
  • Identify referral opportunities across business lines and segments.
  • Understand the business and technical principles that underpin the design and delivery of financial products and services.
Experience & Education
  • University degree and/or 3-5 years of industry experience.
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) required.
  • IIROC license preferred.
