Financial Planning Expert

Scotiabank is seeking a Financial Planning Expert to contribute to the overall success of MD Wealth in Canada. As a key member of the team, you will assist clients and their families in achieving their personal financial goals. Your expertise in financial planning will enable you to prepare comprehensive financial plans and specific investment strategies for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute quarterly business plans to meet individual, regional, and corporate targets
- Actively participate in prospecting and identify new opportunities to grow the client base
- Complete financial planning in areas of risk management, estate planning, liability management, cash flow/budgeting, education funding, tax, retirement planning, investment management, practice management, and goal setting
- Prepare comprehensive financial plans and specific investment strategies based on MD Management developed and managed optimal portfolio ranges
- Conduct financial planning seminars and information meetings throughout the region to inform clients about new strategies, legislative changes, and MD Management's programs
Requirements:
- University degree in business, commerce, or a related field
- CIRO (IIROC) licensed as a Registered Representative with completed Canadian Securities Course, Conduct & Practices Handbook, and 90-day training
- Previous lending experience considered an asset
- Strong working knowledge of financial planning and good product knowledge
- Demonstrated track record of above-average sales in a financial services or related environment
- 2+ years of financial planning experience within the financial services industry
