Job SummaryWe are seeking a VP New Business Development to lead our expansion efforts in Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting and executing a robust business development strategy to acquire new clients in the retail, CPG, and financial sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a business development strategy to acquire new clients.
- Drive Client Acquisition: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through market research and networking.
- Set Sales Excellence Standards: Meet sales targets through lead generation, client presentations, and contract negotiations.
- Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with marketing, creative, and technical teams to co-create compelling proposals.
- Pipeline Mastery: Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, tracking and converting opportunities.
- Industry Networking: Engage in cold outreach, industry events, and networking opportunities to expand Altavia's reach.
- Experience & Expertise: 6-8 years of proven success in business development, preferably in retail, marketing, or related fields.
- Commerce & Service Industry Insight: Strong grasp of the retail ecosystem, with established connections in industries such as retail, CPG, insurance, and banking.
- Sales & Negotiation Prowess: Proven track record of achieving sales targets, securing new business, and expertly negotiating complex deals.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think big and craft scalable growth strategies.
- Master Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build trust and influence at all levels.
- Autonomous & Driven: Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, capable of working independently or as part of a cross-functional team.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or Related Field (Advanced Degrees or Certifications in Sales or Business Development a Plus).
- Deep Familiarity with Commercial and Financial Industries, Particularly with Medium to Large-Scale Clients.
