Your Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mergers and Acquisitions Associate to join our team in the Capital Markets practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:
- Participating in a range of advisory capital raising assignments, assuming responsibility for the day-to-day execution and delivery of service on projects.
- Underwriting, structuring, and documenting credit requests, utilizing your analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Analyzing complex customer financial, organizational, and credit information, preparing credit write-ups for presentation to clients and management.
- Conducting market and industry research, detailed financial analysis, and business valuations to identify relevant business, market, and commercial risks.
- Using results of analysis and sound judgment, making recommendations to approve or decline transactions based on credit quality, business risk, and market needs.
- Supporting senior colleagues in the practice with debt advisory transaction-related activities, including handling internal transaction/client take-on processes, reviewing and analyzing transaction materials, and preparing financing models.
- Operating in a regulated environment, adhering to all regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Ensuring quality of client deliverables through strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
- Driving growth and practice management in our growing team, demonstrating entrepreneurial spirit and a willingness to take on new challenges.

- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the financial services industry, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and capital markets.
- Have excellent analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to work quickly and accurately under time pressure.
- Are proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with a strong attention to detail.
- Can communicate complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or related field.
- CA or CPA certification is preferred but not required.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a bank, credit fund, or reputable advisory firm, with demonstrable debt structuring and transaction experience.
- Excellent financial modeling skills in Excel, with a good foundation of building and working with operational and/or finance models.
- A strong understanding of debt market trends and financing instruments, with the ability to explain these in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong analytical and credit analysis skills, with a sound understanding of key accounting statements.
