About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to join our finance team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will oversee day-to-day accounting, manage financial reporting processes, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Your expertise will be invaluable in driving financial performance and supporting strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and payroll
  • Ensuring timely processing of payroll, T4s, ROE, vacation calculations, invoicing, billing, and expense management
  • Preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Canadian ASPE
  • Developing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial data integrity
  • Assisting with annual budgeting process and preparing regular forecasts to support financial planning
  • Collaborating with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process
  • Preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with all tax laws and regulations
  • Monitoring cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support business operations and strategic initiatives
  • Staying informed about changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • CPA designation preferred or working towards designation mandatory
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance role
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian ASPE and financial accounting principles
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ADP system preferred
