We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our Regional Cardiac Care Program at Southlake Regional Health Centre. As an integral member of our team, you will provide high-quality, safe, and effective care to patients and families in partnership with our interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide advanced clinical knowledge and expertise to promote optimal health and high-quality care.
- Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to optimize care delivery across multiple settings, including inpatients and outpatients.
- Provide leadership and assist with professional development of interdisciplinary team members through mentoring and participating in formal and informal education.
- Develop and evaluate policies that promote quality care by implementing evidence-based practices.
- Inform the development of key clinical pathways to improve the quality of care, reduce risks, increase patient satisfaction, and increase the efficiency in the use of resources.
- Master in Nursing/Nurse Practitioner Stream OR Master in Nursing/Master of Science in Nursing with successful completion of a post-Master's Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certificate program from a recognized school of graduate studies.
- Minimum 1 year's experience as an advanced practice nurse in CV Surgery preferred.
- Minimum 3 years' relevant clinical specialty-related experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Current Member of the RNAO an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative practice model with inter-professional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative and work autonomously utilizing critical thinking skills, and advanced decision-making, problem recognition, and problem-solving skills.
