About the Job
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team as a Nurse Practitioner in Critical Care. In this role, you will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care, using your advanced clinical skills and expertise to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments, developing and implementing individualized plans of care that take into account each patient's unique needs and goals.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
- Use your advanced knowledge and skills to identify and address complex health issues, providing education and support to patients and their families as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices and policies that promote excellence in patient care.
Requirements
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as a Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrated expertise in critical care nursing, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an intensive care setting.
- Recent completion of a recognized intensive care course or equivalent experience.
- Excellent physical assessment skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments in complex situations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or Master of Nursing (MN) degree preferred.
