Job Summary

$25K Bonus Incentive - Community Commitment Program for Nurses

RN, RPN, Nurse Practitioner

To be eligible for the Community Commitment Program bonus incentive, a nurse must:

  • Not have been employed as a nurse in Ontario in the six months prior to being hired;
  • Hold a Certificate of Registration in good standing from the College of Nurses of Ontario;
  • Begin employment no later than;
  • Begin their 2-year commitment between April 1, 2024 and March 31, 2025;
  • Commit to two years of employment at a full-time work schedule offered by the employer;
  • Not simultaneously receive funds from the Ministry of Health for the Tuition Support Program for Nurses, and;
  • Not be hired through the Nursing Graduate Guarantee program.

Qualifications

  • Certificate of Registration, in good standing, from the College of Nurses of Ontario;
  • Ability to function to the full scope of nursing practice as per the College of Nurses of Ontario;
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning, professional development, and continuous quality improvement;
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal;
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem assessment skills;
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient and family-centered care and teamwork;
  • Demonstrated individual leadership skills;

Closing Statement

As a condition of employment, you are required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination to the Hospital's Occupational Health and Safety department. Successful candidates will be required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination (two doses) from the Ontario Ministry of Health website or other authorized source directly to the Occupational Health and Safety department.
