Cap-Acp, a leading medical laboratory in Edmonton, Alberta, is seeking an Anatomic or Clinical Pathologist with a specialization in Cytopathology. As a pathologist at our institution, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic services to patients across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the highest standards of practice, ensuring prompt delivery of services that meet established performance metrics and provincial guidelines.
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement programs, contributing to the continuous enhancement of our laboratory's efficiency and effectiveness.
- Engage in undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate medical teaching, sharing your expertise to educate and mentor future healthcare professionals.
- Supervise technical staff, oversee the laboratory's quality assurance program, and provide clinical consultation services to physicians, surgeons, and oncologists.
Requirements
- A Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) from an accredited institution.
- Eligibility for licensure in the Province of Alberta and certification in Anatomic Pathology or General Pathology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or the American Board of Pathology.
- Fellowship training in Cytopathology is mandatory for this position.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills, experience in quality assurance, operational efficiency, and appropriateness of care.
- Ability to work collaboratively, building trust in working relationships, and being an overall team player.
What We Offer
