Job Summary

This position will support a team of pathologists at our Hub Lab North site, providing expertise in surgical pathology and subspecialty areas such as dermatopathology, cytopathology, or gynecological pathology.

The successful candidate will have a strong history of collegiality, professional accomplishments, and ongoing continued medical education.

The ideal candidate will have fellowship training and/or expertise in one of our current needs: dermatopathology, cytopathology, or gynecological pathology.

Responsibilities
  1. Maintain the highest possible standards of practice, including prompt delivery of services and participation in quality assurance and quality improvement programs.
  2. Participate in undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate medical teaching.
  3. Supervise technical staff and oversee the laboratory quality assurance program.
  4. Provide clinical consultation with physicians, surgeons, and oncologists.
Requirements
  • MD degree from an accredited institution.
  • Eligibility for licensure in the Province of Alberta.
  • Certification in Anatomic Pathology, Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology, or General Pathology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or the American Board of Pathology.
  • Subspecialty fellowship training in areas of dermatopathology, cytopathology, or gynecological pathology considered an asset.
Compensation and Benefits

Estimated Salary: $250,000 - $300,000 per year.
