Job Title: Telecommunication Line Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Telecommunication Line Technician to join our team at DiV Communications. As a Telecommunication Line Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing cable signals and associated equipment, installing and maintaining aerial and underground telephone equipment, and reading blueprints to determine work requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment
  • Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment
  • Read blueprints to determine work requirements
  • Repair cable signals
  • Test trunking systems
  • Test equipment to locate transmission faults
  • Install trunking systems, circuits and equipment
  • Complete and maintain test and service reports
  • Connect, disconnect and relocate cable outlets
  • Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access
  • Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers and amplifiers

Requirements:

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Permanent employment
  • English as the primary language of work
  • 35 to 40 hours of work per week
