Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to install, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment and networks. The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong understanding of telecommunications systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and Test Cable Signals: Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Install and Maintain Aerial and Underground Equipment: Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment, including cable modems and software.
  • Read Blueprints: Read blueprints to determine work requirements and ensure that all installations and repairs are done according to specifications.
  • Repair Cable Signals: Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers to ensure that telecommunications networks are functioning properly.
  • Test Trunking Systems: Test trunking systems and equipment to locate transmission faults and ensure that they are functioning properly.
  • Complete and Maintain Test and Service Reports: Complete and maintain test and service reports to ensure that all work is properly documented.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in telecommunications.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
