Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Line Technician to join our team at DiV Communications Ltd. As a Telecommunications Line Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Cable Signals: Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Install and Maintain Aerial and Underground Equipment: Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment, including cable modems and software to enable Internet access.
  • Read Blueprints: Read blueprints to determine work requirements and ensure that installations are completed correctly.
  • Repair Cable Signals: Repair cable signals and associated equipment to ensure that telecommunications networks are functioning properly.
  • Test Trunking Systems: Test trunking systems to identify and repair transmission faults.
  • Install Trunking Systems: Install trunking systems, circuits, and equipment to ensure that telecommunications networks are functioning properly.
  • Complete and Maintain Test and Service Reports: Complete and maintain test and service reports to ensure that all work is properly documented.
  • Connect, Disconnect, and Relocate Cable Outlets: Connect, disconnect, and relocate cable outlets to ensure that telecommunications networks are functioning properly.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in telecommunications.
  • Work Site Environment: Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
