Job Title: Major Gifts Officer, Fund Development

Job Summary:

The YMCA of Greater Vancouver is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Major Gifts Officer to join our Fund Development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations to support our organization's mission and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive major gifts strategy to achieve fundraising goals
  • Identify, research, and cultivate major gift prospects, including individuals, foundations, and corporations
  • Solicit and steward major gifts, including writing proposals and reports
  • Build and maintain relationships with major donors, including regular communication and updates
  • Collaborate with other members of the Fund Development team to achieve fundraising goals
  • Stay up-to-date on best practices in major gifts fundraising and apply this knowledge to our work

Requirements:

  • University degree in a related field
  • 5 years of experience in major gifts fundraising, preferably in a non-profit organization
  • Proven track record of success in securing major gifts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
