About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our trucking company, North Eastern Trucking Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the company, ensuring efficient and effective management of resources, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives, including allocating resources, managing budgets, and formulating policies.
  • Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company, including managing staff, coordinating logistics, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Management: Establish and manage financial controls, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Human Resources: Lead and manage a team of staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Communication: Represent the company in negotiations, meetings, and other official functions, and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, logistics, or transportation management.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a senior management role, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
