About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our transportation logistics operations at North Eastern Trucking Inc. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our logistics department and ensuring the smooth execution of our transportation operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics operations, aligning with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and supplies, to ensure the timely and cost-effective execution of transportation operations.
  • Financial Management: Establish and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure the financial health and stability of our logistics operations.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure their success and growth within the company.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including drivers, dispatchers, and other logistics personnel, as well as external stakeholders, such as customers and vendors.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including safety and security protocols.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as logistics, transportation, or business administration.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a logistics or transportation management role, with a proven track record of success in a similar position.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software applications.
