About the Role
A Workers' Compensation Specialist plays a critical role in the claims administration and management process, interacting with ongoing and new clients to provide exceptional service. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with our team to develop solution-focused programs for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop practices and procedures for claims and disability management services
- Assist in the return to work process, overseeing modified work programs and monitoring claims for areas of objection
- Formulate objections/appeals in conjunction with managing Workers' Compensation claims
- Represent OSI at meetings and events to communicate with current clients and encourage new clients to learn about OSI
Requirements
- 2-3+ years of experience in Return to Work planning and facilitation
- Knowledge of disability management and procedures
- Strong medical knowledge
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn an internal database system
