About the Role

This exciting opportunity is available at Dentons' Ottawa office, which is home to a dynamic team of professionals who contribute to the firm's business development efforts. As a Strategic Business Development Manager - Venture Technology, you will be working closely with the Office Managing Partner, local practice groups, and national practice groups to expand current and new client relationships.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in marketing and/or business development, with a solid understanding of the venture technology and emerging growth sector. They will possess excellent project management skills, be data-savvy, and proficient in using tools such as Power BI. Additionally, they will have experience leveraging social media and other digital channels to drive business development initiatives.

The successful candidate will be able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism. They will also be comfortable working with various stakeholders, including lawyers, partners, and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute business development plans to drive revenue growth
  • Support the office in profile-raising activities, including events and sponsorships
  • Contribute to the development of practice and sector project plans
  • Facilitate the delivery of business planning for assigned groups
  • Research and develop creative content for social media
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing and/or business development
  • Solid understanding of the venture technology and emerging growth sector
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Data-savvy and proficient in using tools such as Power BI
  • Experience leveraging social media and other digital channels
What We Offer
