About the Role

BC Cancer is seeking a talented Radiation Oncologist to join our team as a locum physician. This opportunity will provide the successful candidate with the chance to work within a provincial radiation therapy program, committed to clinical excellence through evidence-based standardized care and knowledge generation.

Job Description

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work in a full-service cancer centre with strong medical oncology, surgical oncology, diagnostic imaging, pathology, oral oncology, supportive care, and functional imaging services. They will also participate in research, administrative, and educational activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate must be eligible for licensure in British Columbia and must have obtained a Fellowship in Radiation Oncology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or hold an equivalent qualification, by the time of appointment. In addition, they must demonstrate a commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).

Compensation Package

We are offering a competitive compensation package, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The estimated annual salary for this position is $350,000-$450,000 CAD, depending on factors such as location and level of experience.
