About BC Cancer

BC Cancer is part of the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA). Our organization plans, manages and evaluates specialized health services with the BC health authorities to provide equitable and cost-effective healthcare for people throughout the province.

What You'll Do
  • You'll work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans for patients diagnosed with various types of cancer.
  • You'll provide patient-centered care, communicating effectively with clients and families about their health findings, diagnoses, and prognoses.
  • You'll collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess and diagnose client status, referring them to specialists as needed.
  • You'll prescribe medications within your scope of practice, applying your knowledge of pharmacology and evidence-based practice to select, administer, and monitor the effects of drugs.
Requirements
  • Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Eligibility to complete the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) through the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • A minimum of four years of recent, relevant clinical nursing experience.
