As a Human Resources Generalist at TalentSphere Staffing Solutions, you will play a key role in supporting our team's growth and success. Reporting to the Director of Customer & Team Member Experience, you will be responsible for both strategic and administrative tasks, helping with important functions such as training and development, compensation and benefits, health and safety, and performance management.
Responsibilities- You will serve as the first point of contact for leaders and team members regarding HR-related matters, providing expert advice and guidance.
- Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of the employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, contributing to policy development and ensuring compliance.
- Participate in the development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and standard reports for ongoing company requirements.
- Support team member inquiries regarding pay and benefits, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Be the primary backup for payroll processing, including bi-weekly updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, vacation/sick pay, expense reimbursements, hourly-employee validations, and benefits changes.
- Oversee the coordination of training and development opportunities for team members, sourcing providers and delivering sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Administer the annual performance review process for all team members, ensuring methods are adhered to by all managers.
- Monitor, support, and administer the progressive discipline program as required, creating disciplinary letters or performance improvement plans with guidance from management.
- Facilitate the offboarding process for all team members, conducting exit interviews and maintaining checklists.
- Conduct investigations in response to employee concerns, communicating regularly regarding pending investigations and providing recommendations based on findings.
- Serve as an active member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee, participating in monthly walkthroughs and ensuring follow-up items are actioned.
- Track and interpret provincial regulations and relevant standards, updating policies and procedures accordingly.
- Facilitate the return-to-work program for injured team members as required, ensuring smooth transitions back to work.
- Collaborate with the HR Coordinator on full-cycle recruitment, participating in interviews and new hire orientation.
- A college diploma or university degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or a related program is required.
- Five years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist, with CHRP certification.
- Prior experience on a Joint Health and Safety Committee or training is considered an asset.
- Prior knowledge or experience processing payroll and working with an ATS is beneficial.
- Knowledge and experience conducting workplace investigations, employment legislation, and cultural awareness are essential.
We're looking for a candidate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness. Prior experience in a D2C environment and proficiency in NetSuite, Magento, or other software tools are considered assets.
