The position of Head Chef Manager at Mary Brown's Chicken in Shelburne, ON is an excellent opportunity for a skilled culinary professional to lead our kitchen team.
About the JobWe are seeking an experienced and organized individual to oversee daily kitchen operations, manage staff, and maintain high-quality food standards.
This is a permanent full-time position with approximately 35 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and experience in managing kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate special events and ensure timely delivery of menu items
- Determine food portion sizes and costs to optimize profitability
- Develop menus and estimate food requirements for efficient production
- Source high-quality ingredients and supplies
- Cook complete meals or individual dishes to perfection
- Accommodate customers with dietary restrictions
- Prepare special meals for patients as instructed by dietitians or chefs
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain hygiene standards
- Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling techniques
- Manage inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Recruit and hire staff to support kitchen operations
- Organize buffets and banquets to ensure seamless execution
- Prior experience in a similar role is highly desirable
- Permanent employment status with flexible hours (30-40 hours/week)
- Proficiency in English language
We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
